Well, we are officially over a year behind on updating our blog – let’s see if we can catch up! Starting with a Labor Day weekend trip from 2015.

We made the drive up to Niagara Falls and spent our first day exploring the US side.  We walked around Goat Island, got drenched at Cave of the Winds, and then headed into Horseshoe Falls on the Maid of the Mist boat! The boat ride is an unforgettable experience, it’s just amazing to feel the falls all around you.

We spent the night in Canada at the Marriott Fallsview and spent the morning enjoying the sunrise over the falls from our hotel room.  On the Canadian side we did the Journey Behind the Falls and at night saw the falls lit up by fireworks and colored lights.  By the end of our visit we felt like we had experienced the falls from all angles and light.

On the third day we drove home making a quick stop at Watkins Glen State Park in NY.  Although these waterfalls were just a trickle compared to Niagara, they were in such a unique beautiful setting. Definitely worth the stop!
